The Pastéis de Belém are registered trademark, one of the 7 wonders of the Portuguese cousine and, possibly, the most known Portuguse deserts. Its history starts in the 18th century. Originally made by nuns of the “Mosteiro dos Jerónimos” who in an attempt to gather some money started selling then in a store outside the convent.
