In the middle of “Av. da Republica” and accessible through the “Campo Pequeno” subway station you can find this beautiful Lisbon Landmark.
Built around 1890 in a Neo-Moorish style it resembles a Moorish temple with it’s red brick and domes.
Used for decades as the traditional Bullfight arena in Lisbon, it received the most important bullfighters in the World. Later with the decline of this activity it was reconverted to a cultural center for concerts, theater, Circus, etc.
Bullfights aren’t the main attraction anymore and each year the “Praça de Toiros” as no more than 20 anual races.
Relax in their surroundings and escape from the “city” and find inside a very modern Shopping Center with movie theaters and lots of parking spaces.
